The words sacrifice and stoicism are formed to convey a certain nature. Such as sacrifice – is the feeling of not accepting something as one’s own. Stoicism – distaste for everything, I,e. non attachment to anything.
Now the question is “myself “! If I am feel “myself ” with my body, name, my identity etc. I will naturally take the things or feelings that I like and associate “myself” with them and claim them as mine. I will also compromise if necessary.
Again, if I may think that “self” is not the main body, if I can felt that “I” is only a point floating, in the ocean of energy in this universe. So I have no separate identity. Infinity is my identity.
In this sense there is no question of acceptance or non-acceptance of something I,e. renunciation. Naturally, there is no question of anger, resentment or displeasure with anything.
renunciation or stoicism functions as a term for absorption or non attachment from the bodily self, in the practice of the sense of the infinite self.
